Summer Fashion Trends: Rompers Run Rampant

With the 70s throwback in full swing on the runways this year, there is literally no better time than now to find the perfect summer rompers. While normally a staple of casual attire, rompers can definitely be dressed up for the office (dependent on the workplace atmosphere, of course) and for nights on the town.

Above, we have three distinctly different rompers that could all use a little sprucing up with the latest jewelry trends. The first, an olive green drawstring romper, is just a little too pajama-y for even the most casual of appearances. However, we threw on a flirty charm necklace and a textured yet understated cocktail ring to make the look sidewalk-ready. A simplified black gladiator sandal or a tan flat would complete this look wonderfully.

The second animal print romper is great for a casual Friday at the office but lacks a little depth. Adding accessories in rich woods and mixed metals turns things up a notch while keeping the look earthy and daytime chic. Add a great pop of color to this look with a red wedge!

Lastly, this slinky black romper just begs for an evening out with the husband or with girlfriends. Keeping things simple and comfortable, we opt for a little visual interest with a statement pendant and burnt metal bangles to match. Some gray ankle boots would add a cute yet sophisticated touch to the look.
