Spring Fashion Trends: Peek-A-Boo

FEBRUARY 15, 2013

SOURCE: INPINKSTYLE.POLYVORE.COM

"Peek-a-boo" or "cut out" dresses will be very popular this spring and I think every girl should have a flirty variation of one in their closet! It's a clever way to show a pinch of skin and a great departure from the conventional "here's a ton of cleavage" route.

If you're the daring type, try rocking a dress with a large panel out of the back or sides. For the more modest something like this coral River Island dress shows just the barest hint of skin and is subtle, but still scandalous. These dresses come in a ton of variations so there's really a version for anyone!

I'd personally avoid jewelry that's too gaudy or shimmery when accessorizing this look. Instead, exude charm and simple sexiness by rocking dangle earrings or a fun ring!

Blogger Love: Jessica Leigh

NOVEMBER 28, 2014

Jessica Leigh shows us how to style this winter's trendiest color: indigo.  Keep this electric blue-purple as the main pop of color by matching your mani to your top and accenting with sparkly rhinestone jewels. The rest of your ensemble should be low-key; a neutral bag and black skinnies complete Jessica's look perfectly.  Shop Jessica's picks below, and be sure to follow her instagram for more outfit inspiration!

Trend Report: Tangerine For Fall

NOVEMBER 4, 2014

Some may consider the beginning of fall a sign to stow away your summer wardrobe, but that need not be the case! Stretch your wardrobe across seasons with smart color pairings. Instead of wearing this bright orange with white or pastels, which scream summer, punch it up with cherry red or kelly green. Another key to moving this bright into autumn is material; opt for heavier fabrics for layering - think wool or crepe instead of lace and chiffon. Finish off the look with gold accents, and you have a flawless, bright fall look!

Haute Halloween

OCTOBER 24, 2014

Don't sacrifice style for scary this Halloween! In lieu of dropping money on a one-time-wear costume, invest in chic pieces that work together as a costume and apart as valuable wardrobe additions.  A trumpeted emerald sequin skirt becomes a mermaid tail when paired with a boustier and ocean-inspired jewels.  An aqua dress accessorized with an abundance of silver crystals creates a modern ice queen.  No matter what you decide to be, try to find pieces that will work outside of a costume party...that way you save precious closet space and have an excuse to buy something you really like!

Marble is not just for interiors anymore. This trend has hit big in clothing, bags, and especially jewelry. The organic pattern of veins gives each piece unique character--no two pieces are the same. Wear marble as a neutral, the simple color palette pairs well with any color in your wardrobe.
