The award-winning Indian and Australian-born musician brings notable experience to her craft, first making a name for herself in Melbourne, writing and recording with Grammy/ARIA Award Winners Feenixpawl, ILLY (16 x ARIA Award winner), Strange Talk (Sony), and Gypsy & The Cat (2 x ARIA Award Nominees, Sony Music), where she also began to delve into engineering and production. Shortly after in 2010, she was awarded a scholarship to study the prestigious Music Production and Engineering major, as a vocalist, performer, songwriter and musician at Berklee College of Music in Boston. Since then, she has gone on to speak as a guest on Berklee’s panels, and is currently a judge in ICMA, alongside writers for Miley Cyrus, Sony and Nelly Furtado, as well as The Great American Song Contest, with highly decorated songwriter Pat Pattison (John Mayer and more), Pamela Phillips-Oland (Whitney Houston), and Dennis R. Sinnott (Director of EMI Music Publishing, Paul McCartney, The Rolling Stones). A distinguished songwriter, producer, mix engineer, composer, musician and artist, in 2020 she began working at Rocnation’s 720, where she has produced and written for Selena Gomez, Mau5trap and Ultra Music, as well as on collabs with What So Not, Seven Lions, Odd Mob, Eric Krasno (Soul Live, Lettuce), Qubiko, and many others. Rhia has also written, produced and placed many songs on film, television shows and commercials, garnering millions of views, including Netflix, Amazon Prime (This Is Family), Bunim Murray, for William H. Macy (Shameless), Mazda, The Oprah Winfrey Network, and more; and is excited to announce her feature on the title song which she also wrote on for upcoming Film 'Navidad En Vivo' on HBO, Warner Brothers and MarVista Entertainment. After her last show prior to the pandemic at York Manor, in which she promoted Women in Music and Australian Female Artists together with Georgi Kay (1 billion streams list), L’Freaq and Von Kiss, Rhia looks forward to touring in 2023. She has a long list of shows under her belt, such as alongside the esteemed artist Mr. Harry Belafonte, The Sydney Opera House, Barclays, Tamworth Festival, and many more, and is truly a one of a kind vocalist and performer. Her song ‘Fire,’ which she wrote and co-produced, received over half a million plays across all platforms, 50,000 monthly listeners on Spotify as a first release under 'Rhia,' was so well received that it was added to over 350 playlists and garnered heavy rotation commercial radio play, and won over 14 awards for her songwriting, production and vocals. From there she went on to write and release 'Me & You,' a collaboration with Krayzie Bone (Bone Thugs -N- Harmony), 'Fadeaway' with Bishop Nehru and Break Science, and many others; including the November 2022 release 'School Reunion' with Maz (Beast Records) and Geth (Warner Music), which she was honored to write on after being selected for APRA AMCOS SongHubs Writing Camp, a highly prestigious and selective opportunity for some of the top artists, writers and producers in the world to collaborate. Currently self-producing, mixing and writing her album. Rhia is excited to announce her 2022 upcoming releases “Realistic,” “Folding,” and "Stems,” which features Multiple Grammy Award Winners Adam Deitch (Lettuce, John Scofield, AWB) and Sam Barsh (Kendrick Lamar, Kanye West, 17 x Gold/Platinum), Joe Cleveland (Harvey Mason, Jr., Leanne Rhymes, Mac Miller, Justin Bieber). Rhia is also excited to announce her song ‘Summertime’ just won the John Lennon Songwriting Award and her composition ‘Turn Around’ was selected for the Yucca Valley Film Festival.
