Phia
(She/Her)
Bio
Phia Moore, a singer-songwriter from Long Beach California, is an artist creating music for those with aching hearts worn on their sleeves.
Before songwriting, Phia always had a deep love for singing. Introduced to Americana and Folk music at a young age, she was influenced by the heartbreaking stories and moving details in music. During the 2020 pandemic, her mom signed her up for an online songwriting class at the Songwriting School of Los Angeles. The isolation of lockdown led songwriting to be her solace and passion through the pandemic to today.
From there, Phia’s writing took off and became a way for her to “create different worlds to let people into”, she has described. Her writing has been described as "It is almost as if she is standing behind a glass window that allows her audience to view her experiences while having the ability to reflect on their own." (PinkNoise Magazine).
Phia’s first original single, “Inside Joke,” was released in October of 2022, an anthem for those on the outside, observers into the typical lives of others. In 2023, with the help of producer and songwriter Rob Seals, she was able to share her first world through the creation of her first EP, “group therapy.” A collection of songs that emphasize grief, heartache, and the messiness of existence.
Outside of her songwriting, Phia’s cover, “Over the Rainbow,” inspired by the iconic IZ, is featured in Apple TV+ Amber Brown, Season 1 Episode 3. She is also heard in Episode 10 of CTV's Sullivan's Crossing singing a cover of A Great Big World and Christina Aguilera’s, “Say Something.”
2023 and 2024 were spent creating her next world and EP, “what color is your monster?” Phia is so proud of this collection, as it focuses on grief, mental health, and explores the ways in which our monsters, the hardest parts of ourselves, make us who we really are. The first single from this EP, people pleaser, is available now on all streaming services!
Throughout 2024, Phia spent almost every week performing somewhere, and as 2025 has begun to unfold, she has done the same. From writer's rounds to open mics to gigs and showcases, she played it all. Performing is her favorite thing in the world as being able to watch people and connect with them is what makes music so meaningful to Phia.
She looks forward to all that is to come and invites you to join her and enter her world.
