Paytra
(She/Her)
Bio
Born in small-town Michigan and now based in New York City, Paytra is a genre-blending powerhouse whose music fuses pop, hip-hop, R&B, funk, and soul. A classically trained pianist turned bold vocalist and songwriter, she left home at 16 to chase her dreams in NYC, transforming personal challenges into anthems of strength and self-expression.
Paytra’s discography includes the EP Momma Taught Me How To Fight and the full-length album Tiny But Mighty, both celebrated for their fearless commentary on feminism, identity, and resilience. Her singles like “Villain Era,” “Breaking Glass Ceilings,” and “Good Girls Don’t Make History” have become rallying cries for misfits and underdogs everywhere.
With over 5.5 million streams across platforms, Paytra’s music has been featured on Spotify’s Fresh Finds Pop and Viral Hits playlists, as well as in campaigns for Kipling Bags and shows like FBOY Island Denmark and Netflix’s Love After Divorce. A Grammy voting member and advocate for women in business, she’s also a board member of the Founders Committee, supporting female entrepreneurs in male-dominated industries.
Described as a cross between Doja Cat, Lizzo, and Alicia Keys, Paytra’s sound is bold, edgy, and emotionally charged. Whether she’s belting out sultry hooks or spitting attitude-laced verses, her mission is clear: to empower others to own their voice and rewrite the rules.
