Alexandra
(She/Her)
Bio
Alexandra Skora, New York native and Los Angeles-based artist/songwriter, is known for crafting an ethereal yet uplifting sound that seamlessly balances moodiness and hope. Her music delves into the deeply human narratives of love, loss, hope, and resilience, drawing from her own life experiences and the world around her. Alexandra’s storytelling invites her audience to explore who they are introspectively while imagining the people they aspire to become outwardly.
Alexandra’s sonic direction is inspired by the likes of iconic artists including Ethel Cain, Adrienne Lenker, Stevie Nicks, Phoebe Bridgers, Father John Misty, Laura Marling, Slow Pulp, and those alike. Through anthemic and transformative songs, she aims to merge indie folk and rock into a unique soundscape, combining soft intimacy with the experimental edge of electronic and Midwest emo, enriched by the intricacies of math rock.
